Mario Mushrooms

GoldenJellyBean was amazing enough to post her awesome pattern.

The 1-UP and Big'Um (Green and Red respectively) are directly from the pattern. Of course I messed up on both of them, but as I started making more, I got better. :)

The Mini Shroom (Blue) I merely halved the pattern and tada! Mini shroom!

The Super Speed Shroom (Gold) is from Mario Kart, and if you keep pressing the 'use item' button, you keep getting bursts of  speed from it.

I merely left off the top 'spot' and instead made a felt crown held on by bobby pins (and yes, it's wearable in your hair. :3 )

(yes that's me. :3 )

Crimp the Cactuar

A long while ago I made a felt cactuar for my sister for her birthday. She instantly loved it, despite how crappy it was.  And because my recent obsession has been with yarn, I crocheted a new one.  Granted, before it had it's limbs on, it looked like a very green. . . .cucumber. *cough*

The pattern is my own (it's not that hard to figure out) but it needs work. Like, a lot, seeing as how I'm still trying to find a way to make the joints a little more seamless. So far, not working. >.<

Enjoy Crimp! Don't know why I called him that, though. . .probably because I was thinking of shrimp at the time, and he's a cactuar, so I put the two together to make Crimp! (Because Sactuar reminds me of Reptar, and though I love the Rugrats, there's still a line I have yet to cross.)

Monkey

My friend had a birthday and I had yarn. Well, what did you expect me to do with it, hang a dead hooker from her ceiling? (which I know certain of our friends would enjoy, but her, not so much. So, what did I do? I made a monkey from the Creepy Cute Crochet book by Christen Haden. I found the pattern a little hard to work with at first, because it was all new to me and different than than the usual increase decrease pattern I had gotten used to with other patterns. But, here is it, the monkey man that my friend swooned over. :3

Kid A Bear

Ever listen to Radiohead? I don't. But one of my fans on Deviantart does and they caught one of my kiribans. Thusly, they requested I make them the bear from the Kid A album. I had no clue what it was, I looked it up and was like, okay, I can do this.

So I did. :)

Can you see the resemblance?

Crochet Bracelet

I found a new technique that I'll probably adapt for the straps in my bags and backpacks, and I chose red as my test color.  The I-Cord technique is actually a knitting technique, but PlanetJune made a wonderful video tutorial on how you can do it in crochet.

With my first sample, the ends were long enough that I did a simple knot with each and made a bracelets! Within the next few months, I'm hoping to experiment with it to see what other tricks I can do with the I-Cord. :3

Scarlet and Gold Lions

When I was asked to dogsit for my brother, I'm like: "What the hell. Why not?" So I stayed at his place for two weeks. And during that time, I made a scarf for myself.

Then, a friend asked me to make them one like it, but just a bit varied.

I've always been a fan of the Harry Potter series, so on top we have the original scarf, and on bottom we have the scarf debuted in Prisoner of Azkaban. They're both crocheted, and a little scratchy, but that's the part of the scarves I love. 'Cause it's either that or I wash them, and I like my scarves dirty.

Lol, just kidding, but anyway, the weather's been getting colder, so I've been wearing my scarf. Yay for functionality!
